Arrowtown House impressed me right from the start. The welcome with a cheese platter and a bottle of wine set a lovely tone for my stay. The spacious room offered a comfortable sitting area and a large ensuite with both a bath and shower. Breakfasts stood out each morning—fresh, plentiful, and served in a relaxed dining area. Tasty coffee and beautifully made dishes made starting the day a joy. I appreciated the attention to detail, especially with a smart TV that included Netflix and free WiFi. During my stay, the only downside was getting a room with roof windows above the bed. While these offered great stargazing opportunities, they lacked blinds and made late mornings difficult. Despite this, the overall ambiance and cozy feel of the hotel more than made up for it. Arrowtown’s charm was just a short walk away, which was fantastic for exploring local restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place, appreciating its luxury and unique touches, but would suggest confirming room preferences in advance.

During my stay as a solo traveler, I enjoyed the welcoming plate of cheese and wine in my room upon arrival. The property has a charming vintage style that I found delightful, and the lovely breakfast added to the cozy feel of the place, especially with the warmth of the fire while dining. I appreciated being so close to both the Historic Arrowtown Chinese Settlement and other attractions, which made my explorations easy and enjoyable.

comfortable stay with thoughtful touches
The room was beautifully private, spacious, and comfortable. The bed provided the most comfortable sleep I've ever experienced, and the added extras like a cheese board, wine, and chocolates were delightful. Breakfast in the lovely lounge area was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the garden view that added a serene touch to our stay.
The Wi-Fi connection was not as strong in certain areas of the room.

Couple looking for luxury
From the moment we got there, we were welcomed with a cheese platter and a bottle of excellent wine. waking up to a breakfast that tasted like it was made just for us was like pure bliss—seriously, they got it right, I mean, three courses! Plus we got tips on where to hike and even gold panning, which was something new for us.
It wasn’t cheap, but you know, you pay for this kind of experience.
